If you are anything like me, you have a long list of places you “used” to shop. Store from your newbie days that lay scattered behind you like the wake of a forgetful fashionista’s shopping habit. Often times, returning to these stores after years of being away is a horror – nothing has changed AND it’s BEEN YEARS. There are few things that make me pull the southern belle out to say “oh bless their heart” when a shop didn’t ever progress with the trends and fashions with everyone else.
But, what will make me literally beam is revisiting a shop that is a lost love, and finding that not only are they booming, they’ve kept up and it was simply me that forgot them. They are alive and well and I’ve been missing out for years!

I noticed a cute summer mesh dress at Whats New and couldn’t WAIT for some log in time to run over and get it. Shopping at DE was a tradition back in my newer avatar – post newbie but not blogger hoar yet, and one of my favorite things they made at that time were some KILLER pinstripe suits for girls. My friends at that time all got them and went around in matching clothing thinking we were sharp. (We were sharp, the suits were COOL.)
I’m also using this post as a reason to celebrate the return of Avatars in Motion, even if just part-time, by IOF’s own Hybie who did a lovely post so I popped over to shoot on location there. Both Honour McMillan’s blog and Hybie’s were my go to blogs for location ideas, so I am excited that Hybie has brought hers back as well.
