I thought since I started Hair Fair with Bliesen + Maitai I might as well lead off Jewelry Fair with them as well.
The Beauty and the Beast set is a very heavy weighted style earrings and necklace set, featuring images of the Beauty and the Beast in what would be a glass setting accented by beads and gold.
They are very non-Disney-fied images of the Beauty and Her Beast, nontraditional beauty but captured in time in these open faced lockets for you to see and remember the story of learning to love the person, not the look.
Each earring is a portrait – either of Beauty or the Beast and the images are repeated again on the necklace.
Bliensen + Maitai may have created one of the deeper pieces at the fair this year.
Love the person inside, it says, and they may love you back.
