Casual comfort can be as chic as anything – particularly when you use neutral colors that provide understated elegance to nearly every occasion or when you use luxurious textiles that just make you feel good. The neutral brown and beige can be a respite of calm for your eyes among all rainbow colors of spring fashions. The real luxury, though, comes from the use of cashmere, that fabric that makes you feel like your being hugged by nature. Both the sweater and leggings are from Fishy Strawberry and are great investment separates. The bit of embellishment on the sweater is just a bonus that can help you choose accessories and makeup options.
I added the fringe leather vest from COCO – not that it will add warmth or that I need more warmth with that lovely cashmere sweater, but because it adds a touch of whimsy and also makes the total look more casual. The shoes are J’s ankle boots with the round toes. J’s also makes identical boots with a squared toe as well.
The geometric squares that make up the motif on the sweater had be looking for geometry in my jewelry choice. The frosted silver tone got me thinking about silver and gold instead of just gold, so I chose Caroline’s Gold & Silver Circles necklace and earrings. The circles are a great geometric shape and using squares might have been too obvious. The hair is that magnificent style, Criss, from EMO-tions.
The frosted silver in the sweater also got me looking for a frosted lipstick and the timing of the new skin release from Exile could not have been better. In fact, it was pure serendipity as Exile Rapture has a perfect frosted look in the Mystery makeup option. I really like this new release from Kavar Cleanslate of Exile. The makeups are unique and whimsical and the overall mood of the makeup line is refined and elegant.
