<3 Pistachio

I have a weakness for pistachios. My sister-in-law would make this deadly concoction called Glorified Rice that you could not pay me to eat. Then she mixed pistachio-flavored Jello Instant Pudding with the Cool-Whip and it became not only edible, but delicious – particularly after removing the canned fruit and sticky sweet maraschino cherries. I know, it sounds horrific – but it had pistachios!!! That infatuation with pistachio extends to the color – so this gorgeous Apres-Midi dress from Baiastice was as irresistible as pistachio ice cream. That it comes with its own hat and gloves is just pistachio icing on the cake.

Luckily I had these delicious pistachio colored spring stilettos from Shiny Things.  I also want to use this photo to highlight the gorgeous underskirt with the bold print that takes what could be a rather ordinary spring dress and makes it extraordinary – adding a modern, exciting print and strong colors.

The photos, by the way, were shot at Jaded Wings – a lovely sim with gorgeous fields of flowers and wheat. Lizzie Lexington blogged about it recently and I had to check it out. Unlike many sims, it will allow you to rez a pose stand, however, for these photos I used the New Model 1 Hud from Behavior Body because I love how the poses work with full skirts. Behavior Body has just released 3 new AOs for the Pose Fair that are definitely worth checking out and they have been blogged several times – with great detail.  I have been using the elegant AO from Behavior Body for many many months and am somewhat of a fuddy duddy when it comes to changing AOs.

The jewelry is the Autumn Leaves set from Donna Flora. I chose it because it echoes some of the colors in the underskirt. The hair is Eva from Exile. I made a copy and pasted it into the dress folder because even though it fit fairly well with the hat, it did require some editing that would make it unbalanced without the hat – besides once I edit a hair to fit a hat, I like to keep it with the hat so I don’t have to do that again.

The skin is a group gift from Tuli – an exclusive makeup in the Eva skin series. It’s totally a coincidence, by the way that the hair and skin are named Eva – something I only noticed while writing up this post.
