Spun Gold

I love the color gold. However, let’s be honest. Gold is not one color. It’s a spectrum in itself. From the bright and brassy yellow mustard gold to the soft and mellow olives of old gold, there’s a rainbow of shades in those four letters, G-O-L-D.   This dress from Baiastice is from the more mellow, old gold range – lustrous, shiny and rich – but soft, subtle and quiet as well. It’s my favorite shade of gold.

This dress is not only a perfect shade of gold, I love the fine details such as the sculpted off the shoulder sleeve and the way the stripes are brought together in the sculpt to make a small fleur (see the picture below). I love the well-programmed AO in the skirt that keeps my hands out of the skirt when I walk and the way the last foot of the skirt is open cutwork, revealing my Detour pumps between the tracery of gold. I love everything about this dress, but the name and that’s only because it reminds me of a horrible elementary school teacher – and well, that is not the dress’s fault, is it?.

The sleeve detail is exquisite.

The hair is from I Love Olive, a store I am loving more everyday. The skin is from Chaisuki and its elegance really suits this dress. The gleefully extravantly luxuriously diamond jewelry is from House of Hucci – the best store name pun in the metaverse!
