GoldBlooded

I adore the name of the bracelets and earrings I am wearing today. They are by Ganked for the Accessory Fair and are called Goldblooded – and with that blood orange color, they seriously could not have a more clever name if a panel of naming experts had been convened. I am wearing them with a dress from Sysy Chapman that I picked up at her RFL Clothing Fair booth that really shows off the jewelry. The necklace from the set was not such a good fit with this bodice, so I opted for one from Couture Tres Chapeau that almost becomes an extension of the dress.

Sysy’s dress proves that the key to great dress-making is getting the basics right. The shape of the dress is flawless and does not require a lot of ornamentation or complexity. The fabric is a plain solid color with a simple silk brocade edge, but simplicity reveals quality – as in the shading of the skirts folds, the highlights and the shadows. It reveals quality in the sharp edges, seamless transitions and the lack of distortion along the breasts. It’s high quality design – with nothing to obscure the quality.  The gloves are of equally high quality, but sadly not available at the moment. They are the saffron leather gloves from Fleur – now 5th & Oxford. 5th & Oxford have released a pack of gloves in the basic colors, but have not yet released updates of their brights and pastels. I hope for all of you that they do.

The hair is sleek and contemporary from Lelutka and the skin is the delightful Ava from blowpop!
