Enchantment

Sometimes there is a dress that enchants me. It is so new, so breathtakingly fresh that I just have to play and find different ways to look at it. It makes me experiment with my photos and hunt out places to shoot and just to see what more I can do because it’s inspiring in its originality.

Gelsomina from Donna Flora is just such a dress. I could not stop shooting pictures and have quite the collection on Flickr. First there’s the exuberant combination of lustrous gold in the underskirt, with layers of net, tulle, charmeus and silk ombre. Add the magnolias scattered over the dress and the hairdo that would make Madame Pompadour green with envy and you have a magical enchantment.

The dress comes with the hair and with a different pair of gloves. The “official” gloves are black net with a prim ruffled edge. I wanted to emphasize that luscious bronze tone and decided to wear the tan gloves from Fleur (now rebranded as 5th & Oxford) This color has not been released yet in the updated 5th & Oxford gloves line, but I am sure they are on one of her many burners.  The shoes are Adam n Eve’s Babii shoes in Amber.

The jewelry is from Paper Couture and the skin is the wonderful Mummer makeup from Tres Blah’s Hiccup skin for the Designers United event last month.  If you care to look, there are several other shots of this gorgeous dress taken in the photosphere and at AM Radio’s The Quiet –

That explains why you shot so many. I can’t blame you a bit; this gown is so wonderful, it demands as much coverage as can be squeezed out of it, and it would still be fantastic.
