Peaches & Cream

If you have been reading my blog for any significant length of time, you know I am a peach-a-holic.  Peach, coral, salmon just are irresistible colors for me. And why not? They look good with every skin tone and flatter everyone in 1st and 2nd life.  So, when I  went over to check out Stylissimo – after falling in love with the blogger appreciation gifts they sent – and saw some peach in a vendor, well that works like a homing device with a built-in buy button.

This is the dress as it comes out of the box from Stylissimo. It’s beautiful and well-made and oh-so-dramatic. However, I could see that I was unlikely to wear it out to a party because it felt just a tad burlesque.  Costume party, yes. Dance party, no. But such a beautiful gown is not made to wait in the closet for a costume party. It’s made to wear. So I knew I just needed to add another skirt prim  so I tried different search terms to bring up possible prims. There were several that would have worked but I was looking for one I knew I had. I tried peach, coral, tulle and everything else under the sun but soon realized it did not have an obvious name.

Let me introduce you to pizzo carne, the skirt prim from a BiancaF tulle skirt. Now, even in Italian, I would have searched for italian words for peach, coral and salmon, not meat. Oh well!  It was a perfect fit and because BiancaF attaches the prim to the left pec, I didn’t even have to fiddle with prim-editing. Sure it’s still showing my legs, etc. It just feels more dressed. Call me crazy. I don’t mind.

Here you can see the dress from the back and see that the attention to detail and design aesthetic carries through. I am wearing those marvelous Baiastice decollette shoes again. You might recall me mentioning that I love them so much I wish I had them in every color.  Well, lucky me, I woke up this morning to an im from Sissy Pessoa from Baiastice thanking me for the recent post and remarking that she read my wish for every color so she dropped me a couple folders. Cue happy dance! Yes, I am now the ecstatic owner of every color of these magnificent shoes.

I added Miriel’s Gibson Girl hair – so effortlessly elegant and so well-done with just the perfect amount of looseness and disarray. The earrings, necklace and bracelet are all from Muse – where pearls are done flawlessly.

The makeup is from Tuli – her Faith light skin and this is the  Sunny makeup. I love the touch of green in the shadow that brings out my eyes.
