In Bloom

Every once in a while someone makes a dress that makes everyone stop and take a breath and sigh. The newest dress from Mimikri is that kind of dress. There is a black version that is all black – which makes it a very different dress – and equally striking, but the sheer springlike femininity of the pink, blue and yellow versions of this dress is unrivaled. The skirt is a riot of flowers with a ruched satin bodice and it’s absolutely luscious.

Aoharu came out with new shoes yesterday as well – shoes that suit the dress beautifully, though there is some dissonance putting the word gladiator shoes with the bouquet of a dress. Still, could there be more feminine gladiator sandals?

These shoes were a snap to match to the Curio skin – though it’s more a case of the skin being close to the preset color rather than the interface being so efficient. The feet also needed to be shrunk quite a bit to match the size of my calves and ankles.

I added an Eolande flower that I found at an Ohana Isle hunt last year. It went on the other side, but it was a snap moving it to this side. The necklace, earrings and ring are part of the Bouquet set from ALB Dream Fashion. The bracelet is also from ALB – part of the Lotta set. The hair is from Laqroki – Biscuit and the skin is Gala’s Breeze.  Now, this is a dress that folks will get – and arrange an event to justify getting it. Expect lots of parties in the future as women across the grid throw dances and parties so they can blossom for the night. They will have to be small parties though. Just for fun, I checked my Avatar Rendering Cost for the outfit and it 12,309. Like I said, a small party.
