Going For Baroque

I know it’s a bad pun but I’m not the one going for broke, it’s Prelude designer Polaire Aeghin. She is going to extremes to create outfits you can wear three, four, five different ways even before you start mixing and matching with the rest of your wardrobe. Good grief, she even includes two *TWO* parrot canes, one with and one without an AO.

Here you can see ways of wearing the bodice and sash, one skirt and the capris which you could wear with or without the ruffles. You can click on the pictures if you want to see them larger. I am also showing two shoe options, both from Digit Darkes. The Wicked shoes with the black and silver are ideal, but I thought the lovely and unique Clyde ankle boots appealed to the elements of whimsy in these designs.

The photos were shot at Beyond the Island which is a delightful place for shooting – allowing both build and scripts so you can rez your poseballs. There are much more dramatic scenes to shoot there, too, including a huge sailing ship!

My favorite part of the outfit, though, is the wonderful brocade pants. With the Wicked shoes, well, it’s just wicked cool.

The ruffle on the neck is stunning – and fits the shape of the bodice perfectly. What sets it apart from so many is that it’s the right size – and not just for fitting, but for how the ruffle should look with the blouse. So many ruffles are too big – outsized for the scale of the blouses. This one is perfect. I wish though it had attached to the spine originally so I didn’t have to shift it to be able to wear my necklace. The necklace and earrings are from Shiny Things.

This is Gala’s Pinup line – and don’t you just love the little mole?

No problem with the pun; I’ve committed worse. I’m prepping another piece on other Indian designers besides Zaara Kohine, and I’m calling it “I’m Still Sari….”
