So you want to dress up for the holidays, but don’t want to look twee? Why not wear clothes that look fine all year round but give them a holiday edge with accessories and makeup. I am using these old earrings from Dark Mouse – ones I have worn time and again because the colors can, in the context of the season, add a holiday air to regular clothes, The more explicit holiday expression comes from the Fleur Allure Winter skin with the green shadow and the bold red lips.
Right now I am running around the grid looking for Dress Me Up clothing suggestions. The loafers from Edelweiss are perfect for that kind of running about and I could kick myself for not remembering them when I was trying to go all Nancy Drew last week.
This sweater is from Boom – part of a review folder – and I have to confess that she’s super clever. That blousing sleeve is made with a system shirt that ends at 3/4 and the lower, tight sleeve is made with system gloves, achieving a primmy look with system wear. Little roll cuffs and of course, the collar are made with prims.
The skirt if from ducknipple. It would benefit from a little more length, but I think that about 99.9% of the short skirts in SL. My biggest wish with ducknipple is that he would produce more clothing. I love the clothes, there’s just not enough of them.
