It was at a 4th Friday Art Exhibit I hosted once at Vicious (yeah I used to make them do cultural stuff ….no shooting the artistes)…that I was exposed to the vibrant, kinetic artwork of Elros Tuominen. Cajsa was friends and had suggested his sculptures for our next event, so I said sure no problem and we were set.
You’ve seen SL art. A lot of it is shite. But when you run into something different, something that makes you say…..Oooooo I like this…..then you’ve hit on it. Whatever IT is.
Just like art in Real Life…..art on the grid should make you take notice. It should indicate purpose, intention and…craft. I’ve ridden in an Elros creation, I’ve danced in one, I’ve simply stood and marveled at the impossible beauty of what I was seeing.
This field of swirling lush green and life infusing yellow was the perfect back drop to show you one of my review items from Layniewear. A cocktail dress with a lush texture and a sexy scooped back, it sports a modern yet conservative line. A little cleavage and a sexy flash of bewbie on the sides (those aren’t even my BIG bewbies – get scared) makes it a nice date night dress too.
It’s a system skirt, so it doesn’t crank up your rendering cost for places like the Hair Fair if you don’t want to go in a bikini. But it’s nicely rendered and the solid color doesn’t give you that wonky effect when you walk (you know, that stretchy texture wonky bit).
Yes – wonky is an official fashion term.
And look, here is another hairstyle that contained color change clips and I didn’t know they were color change – for like a year. DESIGNERS – saying scripted doesn’t mean color change. Good lord I’m blonde most the time, help me out.
