Green is my favorite color – always has been. Like brown and blue, it’s one of the ubiquitous colors of nature – those colors we humans see the most of. Blue skies, brown earth and green grass and trees – the colors of when the world is right and everything is in its place. Green is the color of plenty – of coming harvests, of ample rainfall – in essence, the color of survival. With all of nature bending toward loving green, how can I argue?

This lovely green dress is actually called “gold” should you choose to go to In the Light to purchase it. In the Light is one of those boutiques that make you wish they had more on sale – there being so little stock in the store. But…what there is makes your trip more than worthwhile and you concede, better few items made so well than twice as many made with less exacting standards. I added  Maitreya’s frenzy sandals because they have the fresh, hot summer fun look this dress was asking for.

Fresh colors demand fresh makeup and this seemed the freshest option. From Curio, the Blossom makeup is barely there in all the right places.
